Desiderio Valdez, age 73 found peace and rest on Saturday, October 3, 2015. He was born in San Antonio, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Desiderio and Lucia Valdez; and his sister, Elvira Lopez; and baby brother, Ernest Valdez.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Gunda Valdez; and their beloved children, Christiane (Michael) Toye, Iris (John) Tombari, and Desiderio (Sandra) Valdez. He is blessed with eleven grandchildren, Amanda (Kent Hutchison) Chu, Nicole (Dan) Gaspar, Alexander Chu, Brandon Toye, Nicholas Tombari, Antonio Tombari, Joseph Tombari, Vincent Tombari, Desiderio Valdez, Jr., Bernadette Valdez, Benjamin Valdez; and three great-grandchildren, Kai & Kian Gaspar and Greycian Hutchison with a fourth on the way.
In addition, he is survived by his brothers, Rudolfo (Rosa) Valdez, Manual (Mary Ann) Valdez, and Anastacio (Irma) Valdez; his sister, Mary Jane Soto; many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Gerda Dubnick; and his brother-in-law, Klaus (Baerbel) Dubnick.
