Derrell Martin

Derrell I Martin, beloved son, brother, father and grandfather was born on December 25, 1939 in Lubbock, Texas and passed away on August 4, 2012 in San Antonio, Texas after a valiant fight with Alzheimer’s dementia. He is preceded in death by his parents, Autie and Bill Martin and his son Darren Martin. Darrell is survived by his daughter, Anya Martin; his sister, Wanza Holbert, his brother and sister in law, Edward “Eddie” and Judy Martin; GRANDCHILDREN Derrick, Dillon and Melody Martin and numerous nieces and nephews. Special appreciation goes to his caregivers at Cindy’s Place and most especially to Claudette Roberts for the exceptional care he received during his illness. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and ability to tell hilarious stories especially on himself.
