Dennis Michael Vasquez-Ailey

On Tuesday, August 2, 2022, Dennis Michael Vazquez-Ailey passed away at the age of 34. Dennis was born on February 2, 1988, in Watertown, New York, to Dennis Vazquez-Rosa and Annette Ailey. He was known to his family as Miki. He lived in New York, Germany, Texas, and Maryland as a military child. He spent most of his life living in East Tennessee, where his heart and home will forever be.

He grew up in the ’90s playing outside and watching cartoons. In the 2000s, he grew an appreciation for music. His soul was that of a big kid.

Dennis was skilled in many trades and was never afraid of hard work or getting his hands dirty. He spent the last year of his life as an engraver. Dennis always carried with him a quick wit and sense of humor. He had a big heart and gave even when he had nothing to give. He put others before himself. His friends would note his loyalty and big heart. Everyone who knew Dennis knew he had abundant knowledge and a passion for music.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Edwin Lee Ailey, and Mary Loretta Guthrie, and by his grandfather Gregorio Cosme. He is survived by his father Dennis, his mother Annette, his older sister Samantha and her husband David, his older brother Sean; his younger sisters Yesenia, Siana, and Isabella; his numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
