Cresencio E. Alaniz, age 98, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on October 3, 2025. He was born on May 25, 1927, in San Antonio, where he lived a long and meaningful life devoted to faith, family, and service.
Mr. Alaniz was a proud United States Air Force veteran and dedicated many years of service as an aircraft engineer at Kelly Air Force Base. He was known for his strong work ethic, technical expertise, and unwavering commitment to supporting his country's aviation operations.
A devoted Christian, Mr. Alaniz lived his life guided by his faith and belief in God's eternal promise. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 73 years, Celia Alaniz, who passed away in July 2025, their son, Cris Alaniz, who passed in 2021. Father, Alfredo M. Alaniz, Mother, Maria Eloisa Alaniz, and siblings Alfredo E. Alaniz, Estefan E. Alaniz, Jose E. Alaniz, Angelina E. Alaniz, Eloisa A. Peralta and Guadalupe A. Liserio.
He is survived by his two daughters, Shirley Longoria (Roy) and Darlene Pineda (Herlin), as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will honor and cherish his memory.
Mr. Alaniz will be remembered for his integrity, humility, and deep love for his family. His legacy of faith, dedication, and service will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Memorial service will be held November 1st, at Church of Acts 9965 Kriewald Rd 78245 at 3pm. Reception to follow in conclusion of service.
