Celia Moreno Alaniz

Celia Moreno Alaniz, age 93, was welcomed into the arms of our Lord and Savior Tuesday, July 8th, surrounded by loved ones. Born on April 6, 1932, in San Antonio, she lived a long, full life rooted in family, faith, and resilience.

Celia was married for seventy three beautiful years to her devoted husband, Cresencio E. Alaniz. Together, they built a legacy of love, raising a family that carries on her spirit and strength.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Santos and Felipa Moreno, siblings, Tiobaldo Moreno, Anita Molina, Mauricio Moreno, William Moreno, Janie Morin, Josefina Moreno, Oralia Nandin and her only son, Cris Alaniz. Her memory will be forever cherished by her husband, Cresencio; her two daughters, Darlene Pineda (Herlin Pineda Jr.) and Shirley Longoria (Roy V. Longoria); and her five grandchildren: Jenny S. Ortegon, Natalie Pineda, Ursula Anne Pineda, Daniella Marie Longoria, David Uriah Longoria, and great grandchildren Elijah Pineda, Oscar Pineda and Noah P. Carmona.

Celia's warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love touched everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Services will be held July 26 th , 2025, at Templo Bethel 326 Pleasanton Rd. San Antonio, TX 78214.
