Bonnie Sue entered the Kingdom of Heaven on July 5, 2026 after a three year battle with Vascular Dementia. Bonnie Sue Bently was born June 22, 1955 in Denison, Texas to James and Billie Rue Bentley. In her early childhood, she travelled the world with her US Army father, stepmother and five sisters. She spent most of her young summers with her MawMaw and Uncle Buddy. Her family settled in Northeast San Antonio, where she went to Judson High School. After graduating from Judson, she began driving school buses for the JISD. SHe would move on to driving Motor Coaches with Kerrville Bus Company.

 In her early 40’s, she embarked on a college career at Galen College of Nursing, and became a Pediatric Critical Care nurse. She loved this career, and her young patients in particular. Her later practice brought her to Geriatric nursing, where she would manage a Nursing Home. In her free time, she loved watching her Dallas Cowboys, and Texas Longhorns. She loved doing cross stitch, puzzles and puzzlebooks. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, friends, and her loyal dogs and cats. 

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Stephen Gallant of Converse. Her daughters Vanessa Rodriguez (Jesus) of Corpus Christi. Krista (Kelley) Jordan of Converse. Grandchildren Gavin Jordan (Alyssa) of Converse, Alejandra Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, Ashley Garcia (Marcus) of Corpus Christi, Gabrielle Garcia (Cordell) of San Jose, California. Great grandchildren Alan and Abram of Corpus Christi. Children by marriage Tuyen Gallant (Hung) of Colorado Springs, CO. Patrick Gallant of Houston. Ryan Gallant of Sealy. Grandchildren Hau (Harmony) and Khang of Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam. Olivia (Xen) Gallant of San Antonio, Rowan and Cordelia Gallant of Houston. Bonnie is also survived by her sisters Rebecca, Jamie, Patsy, Fawna and their respective spouses, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

Memorial Services will be held at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery on August 7th, 2026 at 9:45 am.
