Barbara Baird Stevens, passed away on January 10, 2026, leaving behind a deep love for her family and the many memories they shared that will live on for generations to come. She was born April 15, 1942, in San Antonio, Texas to the late Aubrey and Nova Fisher of Poteet, Texas.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Mike Stevens. Together, they shared a life filled with many grand adventures and a deep devotion to one another.

Barbara was preceded in death by her late husband, W.H. Baird (d. 1983), with whom she shared 22 years of marriage and the joy of raising their daughters, Melanie Chaney (John) and Monica Griffin (Matt). Barbara was also a beloved Nana to Jessica Fredericksen, Jade Owens (Travis), Sabrina Eyster, Will Chaney (Abby) and Sydney Eyster.

Her blended family included Roger Baird, son of W.H. Baird, grandchildren Shawn Baird (Megan) and Shannan Gleason (Ricky), Kelly Snyder, daughter of Mike Stevens, and grandchildren, Shannon Bowman (Chris), Megan Guerra, and Jake Snyder.

Barbara's legacy will live on through her great-grandchildren, whom she deeply loved.

Barbara was the ultimate homemaker - creative, determined, and tireless. Once she started a project, she would not rest until it was finished. She was known for her love of baking, Sunday cooking, gardening, card games, and her unmistakable sense of style, which included flashy jewelry, red lipstick, and perfectly done nails. Barbara was unapologetically herself, always knowing what she loved (and what she didn't).

Barbara took pride in being Nana, and her love for all of her 'kids' was deeply protective. She had a gift of making others feel special. She was always a gracious hostess, ensuring her family and friends had a good time, and her home was filled with laughter and joy - she made it all seem effortless. Christmas at Barbara's house was magical, filled with tradition, celebration, and fond memories her family will treasure forever.

Barbara will be remembered for her fierce love, generosity, determination, and the way she made every home she touched feel warm and special. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she nurtured, celebrated, and loved so deeply.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Alpha Senior Care Home and Concho Hearts Hospice for their compassion, love, and care for Barbara.
