Atilano Mendoza, a beloved husband, father, and member of the community, passed away on October 19, 2023, in San Antonio. Born in Mexico on March 10, 1928, Atilano led a remarkable life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Atilano was known for his dedication to his craft as a welder. His skill and attention to detail made him highly respected among his peers. In addition to his welding career, he also pursued another passion as a professional wrestler. Atilano's larger-than-life personality shone brightly inside the wrestling ring, where he entertained many with his athleticism and showmanship.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Atilano was the life of the party. He had an infectious zest for life and always sought out the good things that it had to offer. His genuine joy and enthusiasm were contagious to all those around him. It was impossible not to feel uplifted in his presence.

Family was incredibly important to Atilano. He treasured every moment spent with his loved ones and created cherished memories that will live on in their hearts forever. He adored his wife Olga Dolores de Mendoza and shared a deep bond with her throughout their marriage. Their love story is a testament to commitment and partnership.

A man of faith, Atilano's spirituality guided him through life's ups and downs. His strong belief system provided him with comfort and strength in times of adversity. Atilano's unwavering faith left an indelible impact on those who knew him.

Baseball held a special place in Atilano's heart, and he found great joy in watching the sport with friends and family. However, it must be noted that Atilano had quite a unique stance when it came to American Football - he believed it was not a real sport! This spirited opinion showcased his distinct personality and added a touch of humor to his conversations.

One of Atilano's proudest accomplishments was his immigration journey from Mexico in 1968. It demonstrated his resilience and determination to seek a better life for himself and his family. Atilano's unwavering dedication to providing a brighter future for those he loved will forever be admired.

In this difficult time, Atilano is survived by his children Ruben Sergio Mendoza (Gloria), Olga Alicia Martinez (Ricardo), Julian Mendoza Guerra (Son), Atilano Mendoza (Rosalinda), and Lydia Mendoza (Roseann). Their shared memories with their father are a testament to the love and care he dedicated to them over the years.
