Armando B Bernal, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on September 10, 2023, in San Antonio. He was born on June 16, 1942, in San Antonio, a city that held a special place in his heart throughout his life.
Armando's life will be celebrated through a series of events where family and friends can pay their respects and honor his memory. The first event is a Visitation to be held at Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels-South on September 13, 2023. The Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. It is an opportunity for all who knew Armando to gather together and share anecdotes and cherished memories.
On September 14, 2023, a Mass will be held at Mission Concepcion Catholic Church located at 807 Mission Rd. The Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM and Armando will be laid to rest at San Jose Burial Park at 11:30 AM.
Armando will be forever remembered by his adoring family and close-knit circle of friends. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and compassion that will continue to inspire those who were touched by his presence.
Armando is preceded in death by his parents, Diego and Berta Bernal; his brothers Oscar and Rogelio Bernal. He is survived by his loving wife Victoria (Cedillo) Bernal; daughter Teresa Martinez (Julio Martinez); brother Diego Bernal; other family members and a host of friends.
As we say our final goodbyes to Armando, let us hold onto the memories shared and celebrate the remarkable man he was. May his soul find eternal peace as we carry forward his legacy of love and compassion.
