Listen to Obituary

Anna Marie Reyna, born on December 7, 1965, in her beloved hometown of San Antonio, Texas, peacefully passed away on April 3, 2026. A cherished soul, Anna’s warmth and generosity touched the lives of everyone who had the honor to know her.

Anna was the embodiment of a devoted mother, not only to her own children but also to countless other young lives she lovingly nurtured. Known as the best mother in the world by those closest to her, she gave endlessly from her heart. Her remarkable caregiving extended well beyond the bounds of her family, and her home was a haven where all felt welcomed and cherished. True to her nature, Anna was a damn good cook as was said by everyone around her. Every meal she prepared was a testament to her love and care, and her food was eagerly awaited and adored by all.

She is survived by her loving husband, Mark C Reyna, and her children: Alexandria Kristin Reyna, John Christian Reyna, Gabriel Christopher Reyna, Danielle Christine Reyna, Christianna Marie Reyna, Emanuel Reyna, Jeffrey Reyna, Paul Reyna, and Victoria Reyna. Alongside them stand her beloved sisters, Lorretta Aguilar Torres, Virginia Aguilar, and Elizabeth Aguilar. Her legacy extends joyfully into the next generation through her grandchildren, Elijah and Ezra, who carry forward her spirit of love and kindness.

Anna’s life was deeply grounded in cherished memories of her parents, Minerva and Lorenzo Aguilar, who have passed on but whose influence shaped the woman Anna became. She also holds a special place forever in the hearts of those who remember her son, Matthew Christopher Reyna.

The family will gather to celebrate Anna’s life and bid their heartfelt farewells at South - Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels in San Antonio, located at 3520 S Flores St. Visitation will be held on April 7, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a Rosary service taking place the same evening from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
