Andrea R. Valdez, born on May 16, 1931, in San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2025, at her residence. Andrea was a beloved figure in her family and community, known for her kindness, strength, and unwavering support for those around her.

Andrea devoted her life to raising her children, instilling in them the values of love, respect, and perseverance. She is survived by her dedicated children: Adela F. Sanchez (Robert), Lucia Mosqueda, Maria E. Rodriguez, Josie Pachecano, Rudy Valdez Jr. (Celia), and Joe Valdez (Lisa); 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 5 great great-grandchildren. Each of them carries forward her legacy of compassion and resilience.

Andrea's heart was also filled with the memories of those who predeceased her. She cherished the time spent with her late husband, Ramon Fonseca and Rudolfo Valdez Sr., and the father of Rudy and Joe. Her family circle was further marked by the passing of her beloved daughter, Ramona (Mona) Fonseca, and her grandson, Robert Sanchez Jr., grandchild Mary E. and great great-granchild Sophia. In addition to her immediate family, she was the cherished sister to 3 sisters and had 9 brothers, demonstrating the importance of strong familial bonds that she always valued so deeply.

The influence of her parents, Francisco Romero and Casimira Romero, shaped Andrea's character and will continue to resonate in the lives of her offspring and their descendants.
