Amelia M. Gonzalez

Amelia Gonzalez, a lifelong resident of San Antonio, passed away on Septemeber 5, 2022. Amelia is preceded in death by her husband of almost 65 years, David Saenz Gonzalez. 

Amelia was known for her devotion to family. She was a kind and loving person. She had a passion for growing flowers and plants and had a love for animals. She was an avid sports fan, especially the San Antonio Spurs.

She was the mother of five children: David Gonzalez Jr. (Evelyn), Evangeline Martin (Michael), Barbara Roberts (Lance Froelich), Anthony Gonzalez (Kimberly), and Ernest Gonzalez (Lisa Kinsey). She is survived by five grandchildren: Michael Gonzalez, Clifford Martin (Kara), Ryan Martin (Chelsea), Elaine Krackau (Brad), and Kathryn Buck (Jason) and eight great-grandchildren: Caleb and Jackson Martin, Hunter McDonald, Hadley Martin, Owen, Andrew and Easton Krackau, and Amelia Buck. She is also survived by her brothers Joe Mercado (Yvonne) and Jerry Martinez (Gloria) and her sister, Anita Hernandez.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Saint Mary Magdalen parish or the charity of the donor's choice.
