Alma M. Llamas
October 20, 1946 - August 12, 2025
On the afternoon of August 12, 2025, our beloved mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Alma, gained her angel wings and was welcomed into the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She left this world surrounded by the love of her family, and we take comfort in knowing she is now in perfect peace, reunited with those who went before her.
Born on October 20, 1946 in San Antonio, Texas, Alma was a woman whose life radiated faith, grace, and kindness. She lived each day with a servant's heart-always ready to help a neighbor, offer a warm meal, or pray with someone in need. Her gentle spirit and unwavering trust in God carried her through life's hardships, and her faith was the foundation upon which she built her family. It was also her anchor, and she often reminded her family that God's timing is always perfect.
Alma was a devoted wife and mother, and is survived by her husband, Edward, and her children: Monica Vela (Oscar), David Roque (Evandro), Daniel Roque (Arlene), and Michelle Apodaca (Dwayne). She was a proud grandmother to Jennifer Rocha (Edgar), Kimberly Zachary (Malcolm), and Daniel Isaiah Roque; and a loving great-grandmother to Emily Rocha, Evalit Zachary, Zachariah Zachary, and Arabella Zachary-all of whom will forever treasure her wisdom, hugs, and endless love.
Alma's greatest legacy is the faith she instilled in those around her. She enjoyed the sandy beaches of Texas, family gatherings, Texas Longhorn Football, long serene drives through Texas, playing darts and picnics in the park.
Her family was her greatest joy, and she prayed daily for each of them by name. She is preceded in death by her parents and loving brother.
A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 10:30 AM at St. Paul de Vincent Catholic Church at 4222 SW Loop 410, San Antonio, Texas 78227. The family invites all who knew her to come share in worship, fellowship, and remembrance.
