Alejandro Juarez, born on April 16, 1959, in San Antonio, passed away on August 8, 2026, in his hometown, surrounded by the enduring spirit of the city he loved.
A proud son of Porfirio Juarez and Minerva Rodriguez, both of whom preceded him in death, Alejandro’s life was defined by deep devotion—to family, to country, and to the communities he touched. He shared an unbreakable bond with his late brother, Rogelio Juarez, whose memory stayed close to his heart.
Alejandro’s dedication to service was most clearly shown in his distinguished military career. He served honorably for 20 years, contributing his expertise and steadfast commitment to satellite communications. Alejandro’s service reflected not only a distinguished career but a deep sense of responsibility and patriotism.
Education also played an important role in Alejandro’s life. He earned his bachelor’s degree, a testament to his determination and his belief in the power of learning. His academic and professional achievements set a powerful example for his children and grandchildren, embodying perseverance and intellectual curiosity.
The true center of Alejandro’s world was always his family. He is survived by his beloved children: sons Alejandro Juarez Jr. (Soohwa) and John Paul Juarez (Rachel), and daughters Ariel Juarez and Pamela Juarez (Amber); to his grandchildren, Sophia and Kenji Juarez, as well as several brothers, sisters, nephews, and nieces; and the mother of his children, Corinna Salas. He was a source of encouragement and warmth, sharing family stories and the comfort of consistent love.
Those who knew Alejandro remember not only his impressive professional accomplishments but also the many passions that brought color to his everyday life. He was an avid coin collector, finding joy in the history and details of each piece he gathered. As a talented auto-mechanic, Alejandro eagerly lent his skills to friends and family, often found working under the hood with a smile. Above all, he was known for the depth with which he loved his family—a devotion that inspired all who were blessed to know him.
A graveside service in honor of Alejandro Juarez will be held at 9:45 a.m. on August 18, 2026, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, TX 78209.
