In 1996 he moved to San Antonio, Texas to reunite with his immediate family. He was very passionate about his work in advocacy and public policy on behalf of parents, students, and the community, especially the most marginalized. His charisma and his great sense of humor are attributes that distinguished him. He was very active in La Gloria de Dios church as an elder where his son is a pastor. All who knew him witnessed his love for the land, for planting and harvesting. We will be missed dearly, but the memories and love we share will always remain in our hearts. We will meet with "Papi" one day when the Lord calls us to his house.
