Mary E. Simmons

Mary E. Simmons, 89 went home to the Lord on June 25, surrounded by her family after losing her battle with Alzheimer's disease. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Donald Simmons, her children Michael Baker Sr. and wife Hanoria, Kevin Baker and wife Robyn and predeceased daughter Karen Renee Baker.

Beloved "MOM MOM" to her grandchildren, Michael, Nikia and Ian, great grandchildren; Michael, Darrion, Domani and Jaelyn and great great grandchildren Cassius and Khloe.

Mary was preceded in death by her siblings Edward Bottoms, Josephine Smallwood and Monolia Johnson.

Mary spent most of her life in Long Beach, NJ., where she and Monolia worked together at Electronic Associates Incorporated. Afterwards, she worked as a nurse at Monmouth Medical Center caring for cancer patients, before retiring to Delaware.

Mary was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Long Branch, NJ. Thank you to all the caregivers, from St. Gabriel Hospice Program, San Antonio for your kindness and compassion for Mary.

She will be laid to rest on July 13th at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas.
