Maria Angelita Garcia

Maria Angelita Garcia, 85, of San Antonio passed away quietly in her sleep on the morning of September 30, 2022, in her home. She was born on February 17,1937 to the late Urbano and Gregoria Delgado in Lockhart Texas.

Maria is survived by her son Roger Patrick Garcia Sr. and daughters-in-law Catalina T. and Sondra Garcia. Grandchildren Jessica Stephanie, Ernest Matthew, Roger Patrick III, Victoria Lynn, and Christina Marie Garcia. Great Grandchildren: Nicolas Alexzander, Phoenix Gray, Sofia Rose, Emilia Grace and Piper Laura Reese Garcia, Damion, Dimitrius and Dylan Idrogo, Janelle, Gabriela and Charlie Gusme along with many adored nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters. She is preceded in death by her husband Jesse C. Garcia, son Jesse S. Garcia, grandson Roger Patrick Garcia Jr. and sisters Eufemia Tellez, Beatrice Valdez, and Estella Dube.

Maria was a dedicated daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and a devout Christian woman. She loved attending and serving her church of over 30 years at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church located on 1114 Willow Street, San Antonio, Texas. She was a member of the Alter Society and Women Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus Council 8067. She was a hard worker and dedicated employee at Anderson Group for 25 years.

Maria loved music, dancing, and spending time with her large family. She was one of kind, beautiful, passive, loving, giving and a wonderful caretaker to her husband before his death. She is now resting and singing with the angels praising her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, from 4pm-8pm with rosary to start at 6:30 p.m. at Puente and Sons Funeral Chapels-Northeast, 14315 Judson Road., San Antonio, Texas 78233. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2022, from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1114 Willow Street, San Antonio, Texas 78208. Graveside to follow 1:30p.m.-2:00p.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, Texas 78209.
