Lloyd Louis Wiltz

Lloyd L. Wiltz, 77, of San Antonio TX, passed away on January 18, 2022.

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne E.I. Wiltz, six sons and their wives: Louis S.K. Wiltz and Sandra, Abraham
L.A. Wiltz and Christine, Lloyd A.K. Wiltz, Merlen J.H. Wiltz and Marsha, Raymond K. Wiltz, and Gabriel I.
Wiltz; his grandchildren Pricilla K. Wiltz, Anika A.K .Wiltz, Derek R. Wiltz, Joshua L.K. Wiltz, Ui’ilani Y. M.
Wiltz, Trinity R.K. Wiltz, Chelsea I. Wiltz, Donovan R. Wiltz, Doron A.K .Wiltz, Samuel K.Wiltz, Noah R.K.
Wiltz and Jalen M. I. Wiltz; great grandchildren Leina’ala A.M. Willingham, Luis Wiltz, Keoni S. Aldana, and
Andrew K. Wiltz; along with nieces and nephews throughout Hawaii and New Orleans.

Lloyd Wiltz, also known as Sonny, was born in New Orleans, LA to Louis Albert Wiltz and Marjolet Gallo.
Surviving siblings are Myra Wiltz Ceasar, Leonard Wiltz, and Mervin Wiltz, Sr.

He attended Dillard University, Xavier University; and St. Augustine High School where he led the St.
Augustine Purple Knights as Drum Major. It was no surprise that Sonny would be found playing sweet,
jazz music on his tenor sax with local musicians. Sonny served as a USAF Honor Guard. While stationed at
Hickam AFB, HI, he met the love of his life Yvonne Eliza Iwalani Kilakalua and the two were married in
1969. Sonny and his family held residence in Nanakuli on the island of Oahu, New Orleans, LA, and settled
in San Antonio, TX.

Sonny will always be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather,
musician, teacher, good friend, and “Pops” to so many. The memories of Sonny’s stories, loving advice,
and spirit of Aloha for everyone will forever be in our hearts.
