Lily Gonzales Aguilera

Lily Gonzales Aguilera, born December 6, 1944 passed from this life on September 21, 2021 at the age of 76. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Eddie Gonzales, Juan Gonzales, Santos Gonzales, Ruben Mendoza, and granddaughter Stephanie Aguilera. Lily is survived by her sons Paul G. Gonzales (Jovita), Alejandro G. Gonzales (Norma), and Catarino G. Gonzales (Laura); brothers, Rudy Mendoza, Avelino Gonzales; sisters, Olivia Mendoza, Ofelia Betlla, and Elena Rivera; grandchildren Larry, Paul, Anabelle, Anthony, Jonathan, Catarino Jr., Christopher, Lara, Sara, Nayeli, Blanca, Maria Jose, and one on the way. Ms. Lily retired from San Antonio Independent School District as a Cafeteria Lady. For many years, after her regular day of work she then went to her second job working for a local lawyer, before coming home to take care of the household. That work ethic was passed down to her children. She taught the entire family that you must work to get what you want, and nothing is given for free. A passion of hers, was gardening, and she also passed on her green thumb to her son, and granddaughter. She loved all of her family and she showed it in her own way. Lily was a caring daughter that often traveled out of town to see her mother during her illness. She will be dearly missed.
