Leslie Neville Harvey Compton, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on November 10, 2022 in San Antonio, Texas following a year long battle with brain cancer.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Newman and Agnes Compton of Pensacola, Florida and sisters Linda Krueger and Mary Pounds. Les was born in Tacoma, Washington on March 14, 1950 spending his formative years there and then moved in his teen years to Monticello, Mississippi later spending his adult years in Florida, Louisiana, Tennessee, Texas and Alabama and for the past 30 years in Canada. He spent most of his working life in the Distribution business in consulting and management positions for a variety of different industries in both the United States and Canada. Les always said his favorite job was working for Home Depot in Bracebridge, Ontario in his retirement years as it was the one job where people thanked him for telling them what to do and he was rewarded for it. Known for his wisecracking Southern sayings, which were not repeatable in polite company, they were always delivered with wit and a straight face and received with hearty guffaws.
