Kristine Sanchez Herrera

Kristine Sanchez-Herrera (Krissy) passed away on Monday, April 13, 2020 at her home in New Braunfels, Texas. She was born on April 27, 1968 in Geneva, Illinois. Krissy is preceded in death by her mother, Elida Chapa Sanchez, her father, Roberto O. Sanchez, her sister, Deanna L. Escamilla and her niece, Emarillis B. Sanchez. She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Ruben Gerard Herrera, her sons Timothy Nathaniel Herrera, and Louis Gabriel Herrera, her siblings Rupert A. Siete, Linda L. Swan (David), Roberto O. Sanchez, Jr. (Angie), Jeanette Hodgson (Layne) and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Krissy earned her bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from Texas State University. Krissy loved with her whole heart and soul. It was truly such a privilege and a joy to know her. Her vivacious energy was infectious as was her signature humor. Krissy loved her family and friends and always put them first. She had an incredible relationship with our Lord. If ever you were in need of advice, a shoulder to cry on, or someone to laugh with, Krissy was the one you would call. She had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. She lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, having gatherings and spending time with her husband and sons. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
