Kevin Young

Kevin Mathew Young, age 49, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on December 1st, 2021. He was born on November 30,1972 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He loved playing and watching sports, staying in shape, and doing projects around the house. Above all else, what he truly loved was being with his family. He was a man of great faith; a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend! Kevin was a Carpenter, and loved working with his hands because it reminded him that he was a strong provider like His Savior Jesus Christ. His home is filled with his legacy as he built and restored it all with love and passion, and with the help of his son and sons in law. Kevin will be dearly missed.

We believe he is on to Glory where he awaits his beautiful wife of 30 years, Tracie Young; his three children Hezekiah Adrian Johnson-Young (Amber), Shea Tatum (David), Kaischa Watson (Daniel) and his beloved 7 grandchildren. As well as his mother Lin and his five siblings.

Honorary pallbearer will be his son Hezekiah. Honored to serve alongside him are Kevin’s two sons-in-law David Tatum & Daniel Watson, his closest friends Hayden Bingham, Lio Gallegos, Eric Mckethan, Allen Blair, LaFitte Holmes, and his two brothers Brent and Cody Young.

Chapel service will be held by Pastor Will Bonds on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, beginning at 1:00pm at Vertical Church located at 4218 Thousand Oaks, San Antonio, Texas 78217. Immediately following the service dinner will be held at Kevin and Tracie’s home, all are welcomed to attend.
