Jerry Ray Crandall

Jerry Ray Crandall, age 64, went to be with the Lord on October 24, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas following a brief illness. Jerry was a beloved husband, brother, and friend and will be dearly missed. A celebration of Jerry's life will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 15200 Judson Road, San Antonio, Texas on November 2, 2019 at 1:00 P.M.

Jerry was born in Syracuse, New York to Marlene (Plummer) and Raymond Crandall on October 26, 1954. The family moved to El Paso, Texas in 1965 and Jerry attended Andress High School. Jerry worked as a Commercial Truck Driver for many years and as General Manager for the California Fruit Company in San Antonio, Texas. Jerry enjoyed boating and fishing on Medina Lake and spending time with his wife and canine companions. Jerry retired in 2012.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Marlene and Raymond Crandall.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Jeanette (Van Alstyne); brother Tom of Hidden Valley Lake, California; brother Jim and wife Judy of El Paso, Texas; brother Jack and wife Roxanna of Sullivan, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.

Jerry's deep devotion to his faith was an inspiration to all those in his church community and beyond. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the many loving friends, neighbors, and members of his church who have and continue to express their love for Jerry and for the support they have provided to his loving wife.
