Irma Avila Contreras

Irma Avila Contreras was born October 24, 1949 and passed away on January 4, 2023 at the age of 73. She is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Contreras Jr. Irma is survived by her children, Andrew Contreras III, Christopher Contreras and Monica Drehobl; grandchildren, Savannah, Mia, Jason and Parmalea; siblings, Gloria, Rachel, Juan, Clara, Mary, Elizabeth, and Carolina; sister-in-laws, Christina, Lucille, and niece Loretta and brother-in-law, Vincent.

She was married to her beloved for 50 years. Her children were her top priority, and she was always willing to help anyone in need. She loved living in the country, in Elmendorf. She loved casinos and playing poker with family and friends. She was also fond of coffee, cigarettes, and Judge Judy.

Her family knows that she stayed for them for almost 2 years to the day of her beloved's passing. She waited for as long as she could, and is now in an eternal embrace with Andrew Jr.

She will be greatly missed and always loved. Irma will be joined with her husband at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
