Hazel R. Dawkins

Hazel Ruth Dawkins, age 89, passed away on March 3, 2018.

Triplets Henry Harold, Helen Marie and Hazel Ruth were born to Fred G. and Callie Andrews on September 24, 1928 in Ozark, Alabama and were welcomed by older siblings Carolyn, Sam and “Brownie.”

Hazel and John Carter Dawkins were married on June 1, 1947 in her parents’ home in Ozark, Alabama and were blessed with three children: Deidre Ann, Gloria Susan and Brian Gentry.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, Fred G. and Callie Andrews; sisters Helen and Carolyn; brothers Sam and Brownie; daughter Susan and husband John. She is survived by her daughter, Deidre Leese and husband Maynard; son, Gentry Dawkins and wife Doris; grandsons Joshua Leese, Christopher Dawkins and Lee Dawkins; brother Henry Harold Andrews and wife Clara; extended family and friends.

Memorial service to honor and celebrate Hazel’s life will be from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Puente and Sons Funeral Chapel, 14315 Judson Rd. San Antonio, Texas. Time with family and friends 11:30 - l:00 PM
