Grady Wilson Simons

Grady Wilson Simons was born in San Antonio, Texas on February 16, 2012 and went to be in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 21, 2012. During his short time here on Earth, Grady touched many lives and was loved deeply by family and friends. Grady was baptized into Christ through the waters of Holy Baptism on February 20, 2012. Grady is survived by his parents Alan and Lucy Simons of San Antonio, grandparents Donald and Kay Simons of Mesquite, Uncle Ben and Aunt Amy Crawford of Plano and their daughter Elizabeth, Uncle Javier and Aunt Stephanie Rojo of Austin and their daughter Olivia, and many other loving relatives and friends. Grady was preceded in death by his grandmother, Margaret Lynn Holy Crawford of San Antonio, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the University United Methodist Church Music Ministry in Gradys name. The family would like to thank the staff at Methodist Children’s Hospital NICU and Christus HomeCare Pediatric Hospice for the incredible care provided to Grady and the entire family, and a very special thanks to Dr. Shannon Gallagher, Dr. Tiffany Satterfield, Dr. Amil Ortiz, Dr. Amanda Dove, Dr. Glen Medellin, Pastor Will Rice, Pastor Leslie Tomlinson, Mary McKay, and the UUMC Chancel Choir and Orchestra. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. 1 Peter 1:3-4



A memorial service celebrating Grady will be conducted at University United Methodist Church on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 3 p.m. A reception and family visitation will immediately follow. The church is located at 5084 De Zavala Road, San Antonio, Texas 78249.
