Gloria De La Garza

Gloria Gonzales De La Garza was born on September 8, 1936, and passed away on July 29, 2020. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of sixty-six years, Valdemar De La Garza, Sr.; her parents, Frank and Maria Gonzales; her son, Michael De La Garza; one sister, Guadalupe Bernal, and four brothers--Frank, Johnny, Raymond, & Pedro Gonzales. Gloria is survived by her sons, Valdemar De La Garza, Jr., Carlos De La Garza; daughters, Gloria Fontana, Maryann Ybarra, Dorothy Ozuna; two sisters, Margie and Elenor; fifteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed and always loved.

She was a dedicated wife and mother and enjoyed spending time outside gardening, birdwatching, and walking downtown. Always on the move and active, Gloria enjoyed participating in many crafts; drawing, painting, woodworking, pottery, sewing, and creating elaborate floral arrangements.

Due to the Covid Pandemic the cemetery is limiting the number of attendees for her burial. This will be private for the immediate family.
