Frances G Escalera

On May 2, 2021, the gates of Heaven opened and Frances G. Escalera, age 78, walked into the arms of her Heavenly Father. She was born on October 8,1942. She is preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Ramona Escalera; brother and sister-in-law, Raul and Gloria Escalera and nephew, Ruben Rene Huerta. Frances is survived by her only daughter, Monica Sanchez (Mario Enriquez, boyfriend); grandchildren, John Anthony Castañeda and Desi Nicole Olivares; grand doggie, Woody; sisters, Margo Robles, Esther Huerta (Tom), Janie Mann (Alfred); and numerous nieces and nephews. Frances was an independent woman and a hard worker. She had several jobs, during her life, before she found her passion as a phlebotomist. She retired in 1986. She will be greatly missed and, in our hearts, we know that we will see her again. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 6:30 pm at Puente & Sons Funeral Chapels, 3520 S. Flores, San Antonio, Texas 78204. The family will receive family and friends beginning at 5:00 pm.
