Elizabeth K. Russell

September 21, 1951 — May 27, 2020

Liz, or Wiz to her family, was born on September 21, 1951 to Julia Waring Norman (Krick) and Captain Donald F. Krick, USN in Washington, DC., the youngest of four daughters. She passed away at the age of 68 early in the morning on May 27, 2020 at Methodist NE Hospital in Live Oak, TX.
Liz lived most of her life in Lake Forest Park, WA, graduating from Shorecrest High School in 1971. She was active in her high school choir and the St. Mark Catholic Church choir. She received her AA from Shoreline Community College in 2004.
Liz worked in the Advice and Counsel Department of Shoreline Community College for almost 20 years before retiring and moving to Converse, TX with her husband Don.
Liz was a strong and brave woman; she was tiny but mighty; a fierce defender of her family. We all wanted Wiz on our side in a fight. Liz loved animals, especially dogs and opened her heart and home to many pets. She was an active member of the Tacoma Kennel Club, she and Don helped at AKC dog shows around the Pacific Northwest.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her oldest sister Julia Waring Krick. She is survived by her husband of twenty-seven years Don P. Russell, her sisters Katherine Krick Price and Margaret Krick Myrick, her stepdaughter Stacey Russell, two granddaughters and four great grandsons, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Liz will be interred at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers please send your donation to American Heart Association (maybe the Tacoma Kennel Club or Diabetes Assoc or Woodland Park).
