DAVID ALAN WIGGINTON MARCH 5, 1956 • JULY 10, 2017
David Wigginton, age 61, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas. David was born March 5, 1956 to Edward Ray Wigginton and Irene Turanin Wigginton at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. As the child of an Army Soldier, David moved around but the majority of his childhood was spent in Waynesville, Missouri, living next door to his mother's sister Madeline and her family. He formed a strong bond with his cousin Sheree who was his age; a special bond that still exists.

David worked in the construction field for a variety of individuals and companies over the years, most recently working for Meads Consulting. He truly enjoyed working with his hands, both professionally and personally. He took great pride in the various projects he completed around the house and in the yard. He was very proud of his children and his grandson and loved spending time with them. David enjoyed being a partof his children'slives - talking with Jessica while she cut his hair; playing basketball with Bryan or attending Bryan's Special Olympic sportingevents or just listening to music together with them. When his Dad became very ill, David took such good care of him on the weekends when he was home. He made his Dad laugh with his silly antics and loved just spending time with him. After his Dad passed away, David's focus shifted to taking care of his Mom, continuing to take care of things around the house and keeping his Mom company. Throughout his illness, David's primary concern was to make sure his Mom was okay.

David was preceded in death by his Dad, Edward Wigginton. He is survived by his daughter
Jessica Childs and her husband Delton; his son Bryan Perez; his grandson,Delton Childs IV; his mother, Irene Wigginton; his former wife and mother of his children, Kay Perez;his sister, Karen Strunk and her husband Steve of Pipe Creek,Texas; two brothers, Charles Wiggniton of Omaha, Nebraska, and Paul Wigginton and his wife Judy of LaVernia, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews.
