Charlie E. Gamez

Charlie E. Gamez, born March 24, 1953, passed from this life on January 6, 2021 at the age of 67. He is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Leona Gamez, daughter Veronica Gamez; brother Joe Gamez; and sister Josephina Flores. Charlie is survived by his wife Hortensia; son Charlie Gamez Jr.; daughters Monica Gamez, and Jennifer Gamez (Luis); brother Robert Gamez; sisters, Mary Helen Garza, and Rosalinda Stuart; grandchildren, Jordan Gamez, Amanda Gamez, Emma Gamez, Marissa Gamez, Luciano Antonio Mejia, Beatrice Marquez (Luis), Luis Magallan Jr., Fabian Magallan, and Max Magallan;great grandchildren, Luis Angel Marquez, Denise Marquez, Michael Marquez, Matthew Cardenas, Veronica Cardenas, Drake Marquez, and Alice Marquez; good friends, Henry Padilla, Javier Gutierrez, and Ernest Aguirre. Charlie was a great father and husband. He loved spending time with his family and adored his grandkids. He loved to go to the beach, have cook outs, and sang his beautiful heart out every chance he got. He loved music; some of his favorite artist included Vicente Fernandez, Bronco, Marco Antonio Solis, and La Mafia. Music gave him life. He loved to dance and enjoyed living life to the fullest. He also had a love of classic cars and enjoyed working on them with his friends. He had a big heart and was never the kind of person to say no, when someone was in need of help. He had a great sense of humor, and was a very free spirit. He will be remembered as being so full of love. The love that he had for his wife and his children will be remembered always.
