Amalia Monge

September 21, 1928 — January 13, 2022

In Remembrance and Celebration of Amalia Monge’s Life
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways
follow Him and He will make your paths straight.” -- Proverbs 3:5-6

Amalia Monge, eldest daughter of Pedro and Marianna Campa, earned her angel wings on
January 13, 2022. She joined our Lord in Heaven at the age of 93. She was married to Felix
Monge for well over 56 years but who passed away 2009 after a long illness.
She was a proud mother of seven children: Raul Vallez, Jose Vallez (deceased),
Armando/Debra Vallez, Felix Monge, Yvonne/John Meurer, Eddie Monge, and Liz Monge
(deceased). Being a Christian woman, she always prayed for her children and tried to lead all of
them to God. There are 13 grandchildren: Andrea/Ronny Torres, Alicia/Jared Chanski, Avery
Meurer, April/Michael Wells, Monica/David Cardenas, Nancy/T.J. Benavides, Diana Vallez,
Heather/Emil Alvarez, Stefanie/Greg Otto, Laura McFarland, Joe Moll, Jimmy Moll, and one
grandson, Armando Vallez, Jr. who has also joined our Lord. She also had great-grandchildren:
Amelia Torres, Liam Torres, Marcus Chanski, Collin Chanski, Mason Otto, Julissa Benavides,
Tracie Benavides, Trey Benavides, David Cardenas, Danielle Cardenas, Amaya Carreau,
Brooklyn Latham, Tyler Latham, Michael Vallez, Tony Vallez, Daniel Vallez, William Wells.
Amalia is also survived by her siblings Pauline Carmona, Rosa Ramos, Olga Rodriguez, Joe
Angel Campa, numerous nieces and nephews, a multitude of cousins, and other family.
Amalia was extremely proud of Armando, as he is a born-again Christian and has brought
many to Jesus through his prayer. All of her children are Believers and always pray for others
as she did. She was a wonderful mother to her children and was the caregiver for her husband,
Felix, during his illness. She has always been known as an extremely hard worker, proven
many times over by the care she took in her cooking and maintaining her household. She also
spent many years as a youngster assisting her parents in crop harvesting to earn money for the
family and later babysitting the young ones while the rest of the family worked. When she was
well, she was a church member and contributed her time at church by ministering to the young
children. The members all loved her because of her sweet nature and willingness to assist
where she was needed. Doing the Lord’s work made her exceedingly happy.
Her immediate family are devastated but know that she is now healthy and strong and will
continue to live in our hearts forever. We love you Mom and Grandma.
Thank you all for attending this Remembrance and Celebration of Amalia’s Life. God Bless you
all now and always.
