Alicia Cantu

September 3, 1924 — October 1, 2021

Alicia O. Cantu age 97 of San Antonio, a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 1, 2021.

Alicia is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Cantu; her son, Edward Cantu; her parents, Enrique and Concepcion Olivares.; her sisters, Maggie Olivares and Rebecca Olivares; her brother Richard Olivares; and her great granddaughter, Alicia Rose Cantu.

She is survived by her son, Robert Cantu; her son, Jesse Cantu Sr. and his wife, Maria Cantu; her grandchildren, Loraine C. Ornelas and her husband, Carlos A. Ornelas; Jesse Cantu Jr. and his wife, Aliza Cantu; Elizabeth Cantu and her husband, Joe Zuniga; and Angela Cantu; her great-grandchildren, Cameron Zuniga, Jake Zuniga, Tyler Zuniga, Liliana G. Cantu, Aubrey J. Woodbury, Isabella F. Ornelas and Sophia G. Ornelas.

Alicia loved being surrounded by her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids. She loved a full house. She loved to cook...always in the kitchen whipping something up. She made the best sweet tea and anything from scratch. She loved to sew. She loved fresh flowers that her late husband planted outside the house in the yard. She loved the Spurs and Dallas Cowboys. Always sitting on her recliner enjoying her novelas eating her mounds candy bar. She will never be forgotten and memories of her forever cherished.
